La mine, c'est le lieu qui met le plus en exergue les disparités sociales : d'un côté ils sont des milliers à descendre dans les entrailles de la terre, de l'autre une poignée s'élève socialement ; d'un côté ils meurent par centaines sous l'effet des coups de grisou, de l'autre ils consolident leurs richesses. Cette dualité, elle traverse aussi Kentucky : d'un côté le black metal atmosphérique asphyxiant, de l'autre l'americana et le folklore héroïque. Panopticon est dans la lutte permanente !

Deep dive into an atmosphere as rich as mercury and a massive supply of intriguing guitar riffs! Sometimes it's almost playful and at other times really angry and malicious: elevating this piece of art into high spheres. Great album!

I generally don't buy Black Metal albums for the lyrical content , but this album was simply too poetic and heart-wrenching to not have. The instrumentation, the flow, the verses, everything about this album is a beautiful tribute to music, to metal and to a brother.
